March brings on all the green, rainbows, and leprechaun traps doesn’t it!? It’s a fun month all around for kids with all the fun treats and crafts you can make as you journey to the end of the rainbow! Who doesn’t love Rainbow Donuts or pots of gold? Last year we celebrated with a fun little breakfast table and tried green milk and some lucky charm bars. But this year, I thought it would just be fun to share a quick round-up of 5 Leprechaun inspired treats for kids!

Rainbow Donuts

This one was something I’ve been wanting to try for a while now, and it couldn’t have been any easier! We grabbed some plain cake donuts from our favorite local Donut Shop — Quack Daddy Donuts — and took them home to decorate ourselves. Once we got home, I softened/melted some store bought icing so we could dip them into it and from there we just sorted out fruity pebbles to make the rainbow. Sorting was a bit time-consuming so you might try that before the kids are ready to go, but overall this was super fun and easy treat to make together!

And if you wanted to add something for clouds on either side, you could do marshmallows, shredded coconut, and/or we did stars from a bottle of sprinkles and they worked just fine!

Lucky Charm Bars

Another easy peasy lucky charm squeezie treat! Grab your marshmallows and melt them with butter. Make sure they are extra ooey gooey! Then pour that mixture into a bowl filled with lucky charms and gently stir! Easy and magically delicious!

Here’s the exact recipe.

Shamrock Shake

This is a good one for those kids who like milkshakes! You need frozen bananas, spinach, milk (or milk sub), honey, vanilla protein powder, vanilla extract, peppermint oil (essential oil) or extract, ice, and rainbow sprinkles! We love this one for a treat on the weekends when we just need a break in the day! Or, you can always run and grab one at McDonald’s too if you are a semi-homeade mom like me — bring them home, and garnish with sprinkles!

You can find the recipe here.

Irish Dirt Cake

Much like a cup of dirt, but with a St. Patty’s Day twist! Layer green pudding whipped cream, lucky charms twice in a small cup! This one is sure to be a hit with the kids. I’m pretty sure you can buy premade green pudding cups or just make your own! Pick a flavor like pistachio for a surprise delight!

You can find a recipe here too!

Leprechaun Fruit Dip

This is the perfect after-school snack too! Super easy and fun! Surround it with kiwi, green apple slices, and green grapes to keep the green theme going! Grab some Greek yogurt and add one drop of lime essential oils! Just one drop will be plenty and stir! If you want to take it one step further, add some green food coloring.

Here’s a recipe for that easy fruit dip for you as well!

So now you are set with a few easy treats for your kiddos that won’t take a lot of effort and are sure to please! I hope you enjoy and have a magical moment with your little ones while making and enjoying these leprechaun inspired treats!
